Spark has now become the UK's fastest-growing young Jewish professional's network, engaging thousands of YJPs.

What sets us apart is our unique ability to engage YJPs across the religious spectrum on a personal level, giving them a deep sense of their individual Jewish identity while simultaneously maintaining a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.

Spark began in the months following the horrific events of 7 October, when Rabbi Meir felt a deep urgency to bring young Jews in London closer together.

It started small: one-off gatherings in the back yard of friends from the community. Those early nights quickly became something more: Friday night Shabbat meals, polo nights, paddles, theatre, and trips.

The one thing we kept hearing was: "We want more of this." So we followed. We built a fantastic grassroots team and eventually dedicated ourselves to curated experiences — a radical departure from what's been previously on offer — that feel modern, meaningful and genuinely connecting.

Spark was born with one goal: to light the spark within every young Jew in London.

Between the ages of 22–32 exists a chasm for engagement in Jewish life. Jewish events are perceived as uncool, overly religious or burdensome by the majority of the young Jewish community.

Jewish engagement and sense of community is declining: synagogue attendance among young Jews has dropped dramatically, leaving people with no sense of community.

Post 7th October, young Jews increasingly desire meaningful yet contemporary connection and unity but are struggling to find that connection point.

Traditional organisations haven't been able to crack how to communicate and engage with the young Jewish community en masse.

Since June 2024, Spark has mobilised the young Jewish community, hosting welcoming, cool and religiously non-judgemental events that cater to the entire spectrum of Jews — from secular to Orthodox.

Our focus is on building an engaged community where young Jewish people can feel a sense of belonging.

Our events portfolio includes large-scale social events, Shabbat dinners, Kabalat Shabbat ceremonies, Havdalah parties, sports and wellness socials, religious learning services and international trips.
